I used a website that tests DNA to order a kit! When it comes in the mail I will have to get cheek swabs and mail it back to the company. Within a couple of weeks we should know if Sofia is identical!
We know that Madeline and Josephine are identical because they were mono-amniotic and mono-chorionic (same placenta), but we have assumed that Sofia is fraternal. The thing is, we don't know for sure either way! To me, the girls don't look too much alike, but Madeline and Josie don't look any more alike than Sofia. Actually, as they grow older they look more alike than when they were younger. Some people swear Sofia is identical, but others pick out Sofia right away because she has a different look. So.... what do you think! I added a poll, so tell me what you think! Hopefully we'll find out before too long! (I haven't even gotten the kit in the mail yet so I know the suspense will kill me!)

I vote that Sofia is not identical ... I can definitely pick her out of a picture with the other two. Will be very interested to find out the DNA results, though!! :)
ReplyDeleteI vote identical! I grew up with identical triplets living next door. At first it was impossible to differ, but as you got to know them well they looked quite different.
ReplyDeleteBefore I thought they all looked exactly alike, but in one of your more recent posts, where all the girls were dressed in their winter gear, I could definitely tell who Josie & Madeline are and who Sofia is. So, either way, I wouldn't be surprised ;) But I voted identical!
ReplyDeleteI vote for identical, each time I tried to identify them but it so hard, sofia have a head more large but many times I doubt. I seen recently a blog to identical triplets. they were sure that A&B were identical but C was different, less identical, little . the DNA tests explained that C was the 1st fertilized and a&b were the "mirror" splited lats days. your 3 heve the same mouth, same big look. and for olsen twins, it's still a debate, identical, not identical ?

ReplyDeleteI vote for identical. Even though one looks a bit different, its probably because she was in a separate sac, so environmentally she will have many differences! Mine have lots of differences and where in separate sacs! Can't wait to hear!
