March for Babies!

Thank you so much to all of you who donated! I raised over $600 which is not bad at all! The walk was around Lake Phalen which is close by to our house and a lot people came out to participate. Dan, the girls, and I  were joined by Dan's family and aunt Mary. It was very impressive because Lara and her family, and Dan's parents had just driven into town from Florida at 4:30 am the day of the walk! What troopers! Before the walk there were a couple families who shared their stories. It was tear-jerking and happy at the same time. Madeline was a little overwhelmed with the crowds (and especially scared of the mascots), but once we were walking they were all happy. After the walk all the kids got to play at the nice playground. It was a good day!

Hey, Peter!

Have a great week, everyone!

  1. Martha,
Just wanted to say hello. I found your blog on the Top 25 Moms of Multiples contest (my blog is Love, Learn, Play :) I've been sitting here for the last hour reading all the way back to the beginning of your journey. Thank you for sharing it... you are truly amazing and your family is beautiful!

  2. we went to our first march for babies this year and had a blast :) I just found your blog and read a few of the old nicu posts. It brought back so many memories! I didn't keep quite as much detail as you did in my blog, part of me is sad because it'd be cool to look back on that and see the crazy life we once had in the NICU but part of me wants to forget ;) I'm sure you understand haha anyway, your girls are beautiful! Glad I found your blog :)

  3. Your girls are beautiful as is James. I'm sorry for your loss. Like you, I relied heavily on the March of Dimes and donate regularly. I was told to abort my triplets at 21 week, because I was in preterm labor (lost my 4th at 11 weeks). I started a blog www.5strandsofhope.blogspot.com, if you are interested in learning more about my story. I've enjoyed (is that the right word) reading yours.

Best of luck with your girls,
    Laura
